Winter's Frozen Pipes Cause Flooding in Weymouth Commercial Building

Frozen pipes from recent winter weather burst, causing this water damage affecting a place of worship. SERVPRO of Weymouth & Hingham was called in to complete the restoration and mitigate any further damage. Once all contents and furnishings are removed from the wet carpet, a full extraction with of any standing water with commercial quality equipment is the first step to successful drying. Commercial equipment is able to remove far more water from carpets and materials than an average residential style shop-vac. 
Once all standing water is thoroughly removed, drying equipment such as dehumidifiers and air movers are set in the affected area in order to remove the moisture from the air and the building materials. In many cases, carpets can be saved through SERVPROs processes designed to restore, rather than replace.
